NOVA Training and Development offers a wide range of Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Director Approved training courses for licensed Drinking Water Operators, Wastewater Operators and System Administrators. Upon successful completion of each course, attendees receive valuable CEUs and training hours that can be applied to all levels of drinking water licenses.

John D. Smythe  MCIC, CCEP, CSchE
Lead Trainer
 
John Smythe has spent over 25 years in the drinking water and environmental fields. His background in Chemistry and Environmental Engineering has allowed him to work as a Provincial Environmental Officer, a Water Quality Analyst, a Water Quality Technical Specialist and most importantly, a Licensed Drinking Water Operator.
 
In 2001, Mr. Smythe received the esteemed designation of Canadian Certified Environmental Practitioner (CCEP) in the disciplines of Water Quality and Environmental Education. He is an active member of the Chemical Institute of Canada (MCIC) and the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSchE)
 
As a trained adult educator he has taken his diversified background and combined it with an insightful delivery approach that allows him to convey not only the "why" but also the "how" of the material presented during the courses.
